Southern California native mezzo soprano Sophie Patterson is a current Young Artist with the International Opera Academy (IOA) in Gent, Belgium. She received her Masters at the Royal Academy of Music with Raymond Connell. She previously studied in Paris at the École Normale Musique de Paris Alfred Cortot with world renowned baritone, Vladimir Chernov. This past summer she was an Alvarez Young Artist at Garsington Opera for their 2025 season. Upcoming engagements include with Opera Cameratina as Anna 1 in Kurt Weill's 7 Deadly Sins, Dorabella in Cosi fan tutte and Jo in Little Women both with the IOA.
